Le 12 juin 2010 le Pasino d'Aix-en-Provence accueillait un des groupes français les plus connus au monde : AIR. Le duo électro-rock-prog a ainsi joué la quasi-totalité de son dernier album - LOVE 2 - que je n'avais pas eu l'occasion d'écouter sérieusement encore... Je savais juste que le peu que j'avais entendu ne m'avait guère enthousiasmé et n'arrivait pas à la cheville des précédents albums - Talkie Walkie, Pocket Symphony et Moon Safari en tête - qui m'ont totalement bouleversé (et bercé vers des sommeils profonds à maintes reprises !). Ceci dit, j'estime que le live est un très bon moyen de découvrir un album, et on peut dire que leur prestation réussie m'a donné un grosse envie de découvrir le nouvel opus. Je note quand même qu'il marque un petit tournant pour le duo, qui a enregistré Love 2 avec un vrai batteur, et dans un même studio (eux qui ont l'habitude de parcourir le monde lors des sessions d'enregistrement), ce qui explique peut-être l'uniformité des morceaux de l'album. Durant tout le concert, on a pu également entendre pas mal de morceaux des différents albums, parfois des extraits, ce qui n'était pas pour me déplaire... La batterie - un peu triggée - apporte une réelle puissance aux anciennes compos, et l'audiance a pu se laisser porter par les ambiances Pink Flodiennes de certaines outros soutenues par une rythmique de folie ! Seul petit bémol : je reste quand même un peu sur ma faim après un set d'une heure trente passé bien trop vite ! Moi qui m'étais préparé à triper sur Run et Surfing on a rocket...

Pour tous ceux qui ont Stéphane Spatafora en ami sur Facebook (et au quotidien dans la vie "réelle" aussi je présume), il était impossible de manquer le lancement de son premier court-métrage "La jeune fille du banc", tant il a frôlé la frontière du spamming pour promouvoir la venue au monde de son bébé - qui par ailleurs a mis plus de temps à prendre vie qu'un bébé humain. Il faut le dire, le trailer (dévoilé dans une première campagne de spa.. heu d'emailing) ne me donnait clairement pas l'eau à la bouche. Trop surfait, pas assez intimiste, l'accroche n'y était pas. Il faut dire que l'exercice est assez délicat quand il s'agit d'annoncer un court-métrage. Mais bon, baignant dans ce monde depuis plusieurs années maintenant, je n'allais manquer ce film sous aucun prétexte. Néanmoins, c'est avec un décalage de quelques heures que je m'y penchai. Et là, surprise, le film est bon ! Le petit frisson espéré me traverse et caresse ma pilosité hispanique... je me laisse prendre au jeu, succombe à la magie qu'il s'en dégage et je suis touché émotionnellement. Le compte y est. C'est sûr, il y a bien des petits accros ici et là au niveau du cadrage mais d'une manière générale, l'image est bonne, la prise de son excellente, l'ambiance sonore très appropriée... un doux poème en somme. De plus, la prestation, simple et efficace, de François Le Goazigo m'a presque fait oublier qu'il s'agissait d'un pote... En un mot : Bravo ! On peut donc souhaiter à Stéphane de continuer sur cette voie, même si ça risque de nous polluer un peu plus les boîtes facebookiennes ! As I look around the road I’m walking through. I see this girl, 25ish, a little bit over weighted, approaching nervously and narrowly her unknown goal with the nonchalance of an actor from the 30s through a 16 mm spring-wound Bolex H16 Reflex camera. She’s 5 meters just in front of me, and she’s not going fast. Wait a minute! There’s another guy 15 meters away from her… He is well situated this bastard, he can control the situation and act without seeing others’ reactions. This is awkward though. I’m in a good mood right now, I’m just visiting a friend I haven’t seen for a long time, but a bit skunked too, which somehow explain my fast and freneticklish walking, head lowered. In the order to avoid the awkwardness of a sudden and uncontrolled acceleration of my body displacement, I eventually choose to stay away from her… I slow down my march, taking care with paranoia that inevitable fellows don’t think I’m gonna rape her or something… As I’m at 15 meters away from her I wonder if she’s not thinking I’m staring at her not-looking-like-it-is ass… Well after this next street I’ll be able to bifurcate from this embarrassing rail I left myself trapped in. Ho shiiiit!!! Bravo you idiot you couldn’t concentrate on the speed of you walking and now I’m like... almost banging her. I can smell her oestrogenic presence. Ok, pull out you phone and read a fake text. Ho great!! She’s turning left to go into her car. The only perceptible things I can clearly hear are her shoes on the gravel as she gets into the car and slams the door. The facing houses make a good sub proofing so we can’t hear from here the noise coming from Preston Road traffic. It makes things worse as it seems my nose is running since this morning which makes me sniff violently like a fucked up cocainoman.
