The Coexistence project was born in August 2008. It all started with the first virtual meeting of Grégory Giraudo (guitars) and Carl Lindquist (vocals). Greg had just started thinking about creating a new project out of the ashes of Lyrae, his previous band, when he found a video of Carl, covering some Iced Earth songs, and was immediately convinced that Carl was the ideal singer for this new project. The distance between the two fellows, one living in South France while the other living in Stockholm Sweden, would have been a big issue if it wasn’t for this magic tool called Internet, which allowed them to work together and let their respective musical talent to coexist in the same vessel. They started exchanging ideas and pieces of music, and began recording their first demo in November 2008. This 4 tracks demo was released in June 2009, and is called “Carrion Comfort”. The music and vocals portrayed here are vaguely precisely described in an absolutely not pompous way by their two authors as “fuckin-kickass-straight-to-the-point Heavy Metal with some Progressive and Country (!!) elements” Nothing less than that !! In August 2009, one year after its creation, the band opened its gate to 3 new members to complete the line-up: Nicolas Kasbarian on rythm guitar, Rémi Brard on bass and Jérémy Vannereau on drums. The band is currently working on news songs, new shows, and new album making (to appear in the course of 2010). Stay tuned for more informations as soon as possible! Keep on rockin!
